What Berkshire's latest 13F reveals
Published: 2026-08-18 • Author: IO Innovation
A 13F is a lagged snapshot, not a live trade feed. It still helps identify concentration and directional changes in large public equity positions.
What to review first
- Position concentration: does one stock dominate portfolio risk?
- Net adds or trims: did conviction rise or fade?
- New entries and exits: what changed in the opportunity set?
How to avoid common mistakes
- Do not assume the position is unchanged today; 13F is delayed.
- Do not infer motive from one quarter; use a multi-quarter sequence.
- Cross-check with Form 4 and earnings commentary for fresher context.
